Do you like the classic yerba mate from Paraguay – intense, with pronounced bitterness and smoky accents in the taste, with a fair amount of dust where the real power lies? Are you a fan of Pajarito, Guarani, Indega or Selecta, which are the flagship representatives of Paraguayan mate? If so, you can't pass by yerba mate Campesino yerba mate indifferently! That would be a sin! Campesino is typical Paraguayan yerba mate in the best possible sense of the term. Products from this region are characterised by a wonderful, bitter-smoky flavour. Campesino also proves that Paraguay is a special place on the map of the true mate gourmet.
How and when was Campesino yerba mate created?
The company was founded more than three decades ago – in 1988. It was created by Don Carlos Mizraji. From the beginning, the company's management was committed to high product quality and, as early as 1995, Campesino joined the A.J. Vierci Group as a true brand with potential. This potential was fully realised. In a short period of time, the Campesino brand made a strong entrance into the market, gaining recognition and appreciation – initially in Paraguay and now recognised worldwide. Mate is produced from carefully selected leaves and twigs of Ilex paraguariensis, which grows on plantations located in the Itapúa and Alto Parana regions. The company's premises cover a total area of 30,000 square metres, of which 1 hectare is a covered area. The industrial plant is located in the town of Capitán Miranda, just across the border from Argentina. It is a place where advanced technology reigns supreme, and the processing and packaging of yerba mate are carried out under the strict supervision of quality controllers. Campesino competes strongly with other brands by entering new markets. It moves with the times by introducing new flavours and very original combinations that are in no way inferior to the competition. And all thanks to the base, which is traditionally and carefully prepared quality yerba mate.

Campesino – yerba mate that moves with the times
Campesino is simply “peasant” or “farmer” in Spanish. The classic version of the brand's yerba mate is tough, strong and uncompromising, like a hard-working, strong, healthy and resourceful man from the South American countryside. However, our “campesino” goes with the times. He is open to new flavours and shares them with anyone who wants to visit him. Meet him once, and you'll want to do it again and again!
