70% arabica 30% robusta blend – Bro Coffee Roastery Crema Tango whole bean coffee ☕
Bro Coffee Roastery Crema Tango is a blend of two coffee species, each with its own role to play. 70% of the blend is single origin arabica from Brazil, and 30% is robusta from Vietnam, graded Fine Robusta Grade 1. This ratio creates a distinctly intense coffee, rounded off by the sweetness of arabica.
The beans are roasted at Bro Coffee Roastery to a medium / omniroast level. This versatile roast highlights the chocolate and cocoa character of the blend and enhances its richness, while keeping every brewing method open – although this coffee feels most at home in an espresso machine and a moka pot.
The flavour profile is dominated by cocoa, dark chocolate and roasted nuts. Acidity is low, the body is full and creamy, and every espresso is crowned with a thick, generous and aromatic crema. The name is no coincidence: just like in a tango, the two species move in perfect sync, and the result is both bold and elegant. 💃
Arabica meets robusta – the best of both worlds 🤝
What makes a blend so good? Arabica and robusta are the two most important coffee species, and they complement each other perfectly. Arabica brings sweetness, a rich aroma and complexity. Robusta (Coffea canephora) adds a bold, full body, a thick, lasting crema, a pleasant bitterness reminiscent of dark chocolate and cocoa, and a stronger caffeine kick – on average, it contains roughly twice as much caffeine as arabica. Blends like this have been the foundation of many traditional Italian espressos for decades.
The creators of the Bro Coffee Roastery brand balance the proportions with artisanal precision. Crema Tango combines 70% single origin arabica scoring 83-84 points on the SCA scale with 30% Fine Robusta Grade 1 robusta. What does this mean in practice? A brew where the sweetness and aroma of arabica meet the strength and crema of robusta – intense, yet smooth and well balanced. Perfect for espresso and milk-based drinks.
