Bro Coffee Roastery Colombia Medellin Premium – Andean arabica with a clean profile 🌄

Bro Coffee Roastery Colombia Medellin Premium is whole bean coffee grown in the Medellín region of Colombia and roasted fresh. The coffee trees grow on the mountain slopes of the Andes, at an altitude of 1200-2000 masl, where cooler nights slow down the ripening of the cherries and allow them to develop a richer aroma. The coffee is made from the Bourbon, Caturra and Typica arabica varieties.

After harvesting, the beans underwent washed processing – the fruit pulp was removed before drying and the beans were rinsed in water. This method gives the coffee a clean, clear taste and well-defined acidity. Bro Coffee Roastery takes them to a medium light (3/5) roast, which protects the fruity notes while developing sweetness.

In the cup, Colombia Medellin combines chocolate and caramel with fruity hints of red currant and orange. The acidity is medium, the body medium, and the overall profile stays harmonious and easy to enjoy. It is a versatile coffee: it works well in an espresso machine, in pour-over methods and in milk-based drinks. ☕

❓ FAQ – frequently asked questions about Bro Coffee Roastery Colombia Medellin Premium coffee

1. Is Colombia Medellin coffee sour?

Not in an unpleasant way. The acidity of this coffee is medium – it comes across as the fruity freshness of red currant and orange, balanced by the sweetness of caramel and chocolate. If your espresso tastes too sour, this usually means the extraction was too short – try a finer grind or a longer brewing time.

2. Which brewing method should I choose for Colombia Medellin?

This coffee is very versatile. To bring out the fruity notes, reach for drip or Chemex – the brew will be light and clear. For a sweeter, more chocolatey character, choose an espresso machine, AeroPress or a moka pot. In milk-based drinks, the coffee takes on a dessert-like, caramel flavour.

3. Why does growing altitude matter for the taste of coffee?

The higher the plantation, the cooler it gets – especially at night. Coffee cherries then grow more slowly, giving the beans more time to accumulate sugars and aromatic compounds and making them denser. Coffees from high-altitude farms usually have a richer aroma, brighter acidity and a more complex flavour. In Colombia Medellin, grown at 1200-2000 masl, this shows in the lively, fruity notes of red currant and orange, which balance the caramel sweetness nicely.
